I have never read a holiday story before, they have never been my thing as I feel to much pressure to finish the book even if I don’t like it.
This was not the case with this book, A Cross Country Christmas by Courtney Walsh, this book was started and finished in 3 hours and 15 minutes. I didn’t want to stop reading, from the minute I read the blurb on Kindle Unlimited I was hooked. I started this at 8.30pm last night and could not stop until I finished it.
Not your typical romance novel, there is a lot of contempt and sass from the main character Lauren, she really gives Will a hard time all throughout the book, I even questioned whether this was really a romance novel.
As there story unfolds you will definitely be laughing out loud and even crying at some points. I felt every emotion a human can feel in the three hours it took to read this book. It was intense but I loved it and it definitely won’t be my last holiday novel.
Now the ending is magical and really made we want to read the next book in the series, but this is still being written by the author. So I will impatiently wait for the rest of the story!
So until the next book is released I will find some other books to read!
