Is that a F’in Pigeon?

This book has been my latest read, after being sick for two weeks then the holiday season I struggled to do much, I couldn’t concentrate to read then we were so busy I just could not find the time to even cook let alone read. So when things finally calmed down I went back to the book I started reading before I got sick and let me tell you it did not disappoint.

I will admit I struggled with the beginning of this book, it is not my usual genre so really getting sucked in to it felt like a task, this is no reflection on the story or author though, it is definitely a sign I need to broaden my book nerdy horizons.

Once I made myself sit and read past the first few chapters though I was hooked. The story is not for the faint hearted it has a lot of up’s and down’s and if you are looking for a teen recommendation I would suggest reading it before you let your child. I loved the story of Ledger and Kenna and how their forbidden romance evolved.

There were also some heart wrenching moments, I am not a mother but I have a good imagination and to say I cried at many points throughout this book is due to an active imagination that only appears when reading a really enticing story. If you are a mother then proceed with caution if you are easily triggered.

I will not spoil the ending of the book, it was one of the best endings to a book that I have read in a long time though. There was not a single cliffhanger and it concluded wonderfully. Personally I love a series or a sequel but this left me fully satified in the end.

So my lovelies if you are looking for a different book with a great story then definitely give this a try and i can assure you that you will not be disappointed!

Yes the title of this page is a line from the book that actually bought back a really funny story from when I was a teenager but I will not be divulging that, I am sure my sister will know what it reminded me of though!
