So I am someone who loves to try global foods, I love genuine, authentic flavors and cuisines and have travelled many places in the world and had many different traditional meals.
Something I have always tried to find is authentic Mexican or Southern American food, and I mean the basic kind of Tacos that are simple but full of flavor and today I achieved that!
My friend asked if I wanted to go for lunch at the Hamilton Farmers Market on York Boulevard and I of course did not say no! I asked her if we could get Mexican and if she could order for me as she has a Mexican background and boy was I glad I did.
We had two kinds of tacos, and I dont remember the name of them as it was in Spanish, but one was chicken in a tomato based sauce and the other was pork in more of a green chilli sauce.
To go with our food we had a Mexican apple soda which was so unusual but incredible!
This food was some of the best food I have had in a long time, we were given two salsas to accompany the tacos, an avacado green tomato and chill salsa and a medium red tomato salsa and both of them were so different in flavour but complimented the food perfectly!
If I could afford to eat them daily I would! The prices were reasonable at 13 dollars for three, and I will say I could have probably ate a lot more than what we ordered!
I cannot wait to take the hubby there to see what he thinks but for now I’m going to fester in selfish bliss that j got there first!
So if your local to Hamilton, Ontario, and love good southern American food this place is a must!
